What Do We Achieve?

In simple terms, the Unity Partnership empowers local Tanzanian health workers to safely practise basic emergency dental care in their communities. It enables the training of Clinical Officers who treat thousands of people in dental pain and requiring vital relief. These Clinical Officers are trained during a unique, well established 10 day programme (The Dental Volunteer Programme) during which volunteer UK dentists work on a one-to-one basis with a Tanzanian Clinical Officer delivering an effective, proven programme of training in emergency dentistry. The Clinical Officers are then equipped with instrumentation and sterilisation equipment by Bridge2Aid, and supervised by a government District Dental Officer.
